Alice and Daniel commissioned me to create a design for a new single-family house in Neusiedl.
The construction site is in close proximity to the shore of Lake Neusiedl.

You can feel the everlasting wind and smell the water, the earth is warm and the sunset can be infinitely beautiful.
You can feel the everlasting wind and smell the water, the earth is warm and the sunset can be infinitely beautiful. The parents' house built sometime in the 1960s was still sited on the plot, with a gently sloping gable roof, rose trellises next to the entrance and a large fireplace with natural stone veneer.
Somehow it didn't feel right to demolish this building with all its traces and related memories, but the house was too small, the garage inadequate, the walls not insulated, the windows old ... so we tried to maintain the house and to adjust it to the new needs with almost indistinguishable additions.
