Some of the (probably best) projects are simply unthinkable without their clients. For the first time in autumn 2009 I climbed up the steep hill together with Kathrin and Ralf, to the almost 100-year-old, completely overgrown wooden house in the middle of the forest, to give advice on purchasing property.
I was equally fascinated by the grandeur and elegance of the building, as well as by the youthful radiance and the obvious willpower of the clients.

No road was leading to the house, the roof was rotten, the walls damp. There wasn't much money either. And yet, forgive me the kitsch at this point, I instantly knew that this house absolutely needed to go to these people - which, of course, inevitably happened. Since then, renovations, considerations, drawings, refurbishments, alterations and additions have been made, always with the unceasing craftsmanship of both of them.
A little Mini-Taliesin! 2020 is now for the first-time an ending point. Completion, really? I seldom experience such joy and gratification about one of my projects. I hope it will go on again soon ...
