The story of a classic Viennese real estate problem case: The top floor of a typical Viennese apartment building in prime location is being sold to a real estate developer. Then they expanded generously and sell (generally) to residents. So far so good.

After a short while it starts to rain in every nook and cranny. The first expert witnesses come, and not only certify the poor quality of the workmanship, but also recommend a partial demolition and building new because the structural damage cannot be repaired.

Then the construction company goes bankrupt and the renovation costs are imposed on the homeowner community.

This unfortunately also happens here in the Mommsengasse. After our renovation, the house is again a site to behold. No more leaking, and it has turned out quite pretty too. May it now live long and stay healthy.
